CR123 Batteries

CR123 batteries are the most common lithium photo battery. They are available from many brands, including Panasonic and the Energizer CR123. Battery manufacturers have never agreed to one universal standard for battery designations, so a CR123 lithium battery can also be called a CR123A, K123LA, EL123AP, DL123, just 123 lithium battery or one of several other variations.

Because CR123 lithium batteries are the standard for so many cameras, all of the 123 batteries are rated at the same 3 Volt, and have the same dimensions. Any difference between them is down to the manufacturing processes and quality standards. These mean that one CR123 may last a little longer than a CR123 from another manufacturer, but all CR123 batteries are compatible. In cameras that take only a single 123 lithium battery, CR123 rechargeable batteries are an alternative.
