We have discovered that non-authorized email messages claiming to originate from Battery Force are being sent. These can include attachments designed to infect the computer of the recipient with a worm or virus, etc.

These messages are not from Battery Force

We strongly disapprove of these messages. Current internet email technology allows any computer to pose as an email server for any company, so unfortunately our means to inhibit these messages are limited.

To ensure that you are not affected by these fake emails, we suggest that you protect yourself with a current anti-virus tool that also scans incoming email. In addition, the following should help you determine whether you have received a genuine Battery Force email message:

• Genuine Battery Force 'plain text' messages never include an attachment. The presence of an attachment suggests the email is probably a fake - you should ignore or delete any such message.
• Genuine Battery Force 'HTML' messages may include image attachments, such as our logo. They will never include any other attachments. The presence of any other attachment suggests the email is probably a fake. You can safely ignore or delete all attachments if you like - our messages will display without the images.
• Genuine Battery Force messages will never prompt you to 'open', 'view' or 'click' an attachment.
• Genuine Battery Force messages do not include any active or executable content, such as JavaScript etc. You can safely disable these functions if your email program allows you to do so.
• Genuine Battery Force messages will never ask you to send confidential information by email. We only process orders and credit card payments via our secure site - and never by email.
• If you inspect the 'email headers' of the message you received, you can verify that the only mail servers involved in sending the message are mail servers from Battery Force or you (and your ISP). The 'Received:' headers list all mail servers involved in delivering the message to you. If the message passes through a 'dial-up' mail server, it is not genuine.
• Optionally, some Battery Force emails include a digital signature. This signature means that the message was sent from the specified Battery Force email account, and that it was not modified on its way to you. If your email provider adds advertising or your spam/virus filter modifies our message before you get it, you will see a warning saying the message was tampered with - after all what you're reading is no longer identical to what we sent.
