The charger and battery package includes everything you need to keep your camera going, at a fraction of the cost of buying replacement CR123 batteries. The charger includes both a 230V mains and a 12V in-car lead. It will charge the state-of-the-art Li-Ion rechargeable CR123 in about 3 hours from empty. Because the Li-Ion CR123 has no memory effect, and the charger automatically detects when the battery is full, you can safely top up the battery at any time. Li-Ion batteries also have a much lower self discharge rate the NiMH cells, so if you can't charge up immediately before using your camera, Li-Ion technology retains the power for when you need it. The Li-Ion rechargeable CR123 is designed to last for up to 1000 charge cycles. Because of a difference in how Li-Ion and disposable lithium batteries work, the rechargeable CR123 is best suited to standard cameras.
