The Uniross Universal Charger offers -dV (negative Delta V) charging technology. The charger monitors the increase in voltage as the battery charges; when the battery is fully charged, the charger knows when to switch to a trickle charge to help prevent damage by overcharging. Other safety features include short circuit protection, and an 8.5 hour safety timer. This charger is not suitable for the Sony NP-FT1, Sony NP-FR1, NP-BD1, NP-BG1 batteries or batteries with contacts on opposite body sides of the battery.
