Eveready 6F100/PP9 Zinc Battery Pack of 1

Having become quite rare, the PP9 battery is still available from Battery Force. About the size of a fist, its dimensions are 51mm deep by 80mm high and 64.5mm wide. Mostly used in "classic" equipment such as portable radios. The most common name for this battery is "PP9", but we also call it a 6F100 (the IEC standard name) because so many people order this battery incorrectly. If you're looking for a smaller 9V battery, you probably need one of these.

Individual Battery Details (PP9 Battery)
The PP9 battery is a prime candidate for confusion with the much more popular PP3 battery. Both are rated at 9V, but the battery commonly called "a 9 volt battery" is the PP3, not this one. The PP9 is about the size of a grown man's fist, weighs nearly a pound, and is used in torches or classic radios. If you need a battery for some modern eletronic equipment, its very unlikely that this the battery you need.
