Terms and Conditions
1)The subject for the Battery Force Duracell Bunny Easter Photographic Competition 2012 is "Adventures of the Duracell Bunny". The theme is open to individual interpretation, but all entries should capture something ‘adventurous’.
2)Battery Force cannot accept any responsibility or liability for any damage, loss, injury or disappointment suffered by any Entrant as a result of entering the photo competition. Neither can we accept any responsibility for any injury or damage to the Entrants’, or any other person’s, computer or equipment relating to or resulting from participation in the competition or downloading of any materials.
3)Any photos entered that promote dangerous activities without proper safety precautions will not be accepted into the competition.
4)Photographs entered must be suitable content. Inappropriate photos and comments will be deleted.
5)Entrants must not have breached any laws when taking their photographs.
6)If your photos include any adults or children, you agree to inform them (and their parent(s) or guardian(s) if the person is under 16 years old) of what the photograph shall be used for prior to taking the photograph. Entrants must ensure that any person or persons whose image is used in an entry has given valid consent for the use of their image or has waived any rights they may have in the image submitted. Where such a person is under 16, the consent of that person’s parent or guardian must be obtained. By submitting a photograph entrants are confirming that they have obtained the necessary permissions.
7)It is the responsibility of each entrant to ensure that any images they submit does not infringe the copyright of any third party. By submitting a photograph entrants are confirming that what they are submitting is their own work and that they own the copyright for it.
8)Copyright in all images submitted for this competition remains with the entrant. However, by entering their image into the competition, each entrant grants a worldwide, irrevocable, perpetual licence to Battery Force to feature any submitted images in any of their publications, websites, social media accounts and/or in any promotional material connected to this competition.
9)Only one entry per person. Late, illegible, incomplete, defaced or corrupt entries will not be accepted. No responsibility can be accepted for lost entries and proof of transmission will not be accepted as proof of receipt. Entries must not be sent through agencies or third parties. To enter, email one photo to firstname.lastname@example.org. The submitted photo must be named with the entrants name/nickname and the email should include a full name, address, contact telephone number (both daytime and evening) and a note of where and when the photo was taken.
10)Events may occur that render the competition itself or the awarding of the prizes impossible due to reasons beyond the control of the Promoter and accordingly the Promoter may at its absolute discretion vary or amend the promotion and the entrant agrees that no liability shall attach to the Promoter as a result thereof.
11)The competition closes at midnight on Monday 16 April 2012. Entries received after this date will not be uploaded to the Flickr site. The winner will not be chosen until 9.00am on Wednesday 18 April 2012 giving those entries on Monday 16 April 2012 time to get a large number of views on their pictures. The winner and runners up be will receive notification by email on Thursday 19 April 2012. Unsuccessful entrants will not be contacted and no feedback on any entry will be provided.
12)Battery Force undertakes that:
- Competitions and votes are conducted in a way that is honest, open, fair and legal
- Winners of competitions and votes are genuine and never invented, pre-chosen or planted
- Every entry should have a fair chance of winning
- We will never ask anyone to pose as a competition contestant or winner
- Prizes are described accurately. We will not mislead entrants about the nature of a prize and prize winners will receive their prizes in reasonable time
